Ha, it’s now lunch time, but I’ve only had coffee and as many ciggies as I like (my house is still a smoking zone — we’ll see how long it takes Big Brother to put the kibosh on that).
I wasn’t hungry until I read this. Chicken salad sounds great. Not so great the ramen noodles — which is what I assume Jim means by chicken flavored lunch.
True that, Marilyn. Maybe some “folks” don’t feel their existence unless they’re emphasizing the negative.
PS Homemade lunch – cheap pasta and tomato sauce w/chili seasoned ground beef and parmesan cheese. Better than some, but after all it’s just lunch, not a major thing. Or is it?
Larry, I’ve gone back in search of posts by specific people (I know, I have waaay too much time on my hands!) just to see if selected folks EVER have a positive thing to say here. Nope. There are a very few that have never, ever said one nice or positive thing. Old adages come to mind: “If you don’t have anything nice to say, shut up.” That is one phrase of wisdom my mother taught me that has served me well in this life.
Brian, you stole the thoughts right outta my head! It IS only lunch! And your lunch sounds fine! My lunch was fine! When I was poor (and I have been sporatically thru my life), even ramen noodles are fine!
Karen (@ the hood), I make up care packages for my daughter and always include a multi pack of ramen noodles. She has learned to spice them up by adding dried hot peppers or whatnot. Life is indeed what you make of it.
???
I haven’t even had my coffee yet.
I know what a chicken salad sandwich is but what’s an instant lunch?
I’ve missed this! I haven’t had breakfast, let alone lunch yet but I’ll be back later.
Cookies for breakfast 🙂
chicken salad sucks
Diet Dew and Orbit Gum. I gave up water again.
Ca,
For god sake, drink water. that’s a given. take care of yourself.
Um, news flash. Not everything I say on this blog is serious. I can be a sarcastic joker, and I like telling stories. It’s my job.

Lunch = Big Mac & Fries
Three beers
ray, get some beer nuts to go with that beer!
I think I decided on shrimp egg roll. Yeah, they’re frozen… I’ll let you know if it sucks.
Ham sandwich left over from yesterday. Yeah, it sucked.
Kind of a weak post today, but it did inspire to get a chicken salad sandwich for lunch. Tasted good with chips.
What a stupid post.
Lunch: Tuna salad on wheat and an apple 🙂
my chicken salad sandwich totally sucked. thanks for asking.
Shrimp eggroll? It was ok — neither good nor bad.
But in an aside, (yet totally related) the suckiest posts of all come from folks who never have anything good to say, don’tcha think?

Marilyn,
The word “sucks” has been used in 4,785 comments. I think I’m kidding but maybe I’m not.
In the months I’ve been doing this thing, the complaining has been the most disappointing. It just must be human nature.
Yes. Complaining sucks
🙂

rice and vegetable stir fry.
I’m poor most of the time and I must say I LOVE ramen noodles. It sort of makes being poor all right some times.

I gotta admit, I like those ramen noodles. Beef flavored is my favorite.
Lunch was a bore but dinner was good. Beef stew.
Ham & cheese double decker with a diet dew.
